Bedouin Garlic Bread

Ingredients (makes approx. 6-8)

  • 450g Wholemeal Flour
  • 250ml Cold Water
  • 6-8 Cloves of Garlic, Finely Diced
  • Parsley, Finely Diced
  • Olive Oil

This is awesome; not only does making your own bread make you seem amazing - this is also so easy that you'll be laughing on the other side of your face. You can crack this out at lots of different meals, but I like it with a nice steaming bowl of bedouin vegetables.

  1. Mix together your flour and water until you have one cohesive ball of dough. Knead it until it is nicely stretchy and elastic.

  1. Tear the dough ball into lumps, each big enough for a single piece of bread (roughly the size of the bottom of your frying pan when rolled flat).

  1. Take a handful of garlic and parsley and fold it into each ball, squishing and rolling it all in.

  1. Sprinkle some flour on your counter and on your rolling pin and roll your garlic dough balls into a thin round discs.

  1. Heat olive oil in the pan and then drop your circle of bread in, turning occassionally like a pancake. Make sure both sides are coated in oil or it will be very dry. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to lightly brown on both sides.

  1. Sprinkle some salt on and serve whilst it's still nice and warm.
